1994年出版2nd edition的Choose the Right Word第六页,在addition 词条后,貌似多了一些内容:
而目前的翻译mdx、英文mdx都没有这些内容。
求Choose the Right Word的pdf多处寻找无果,感谢!

那边说话还是保留好多以前的习惯,记得最开始看冯友兰的东西也是一脸懵。
看了书,英英书上印刷的对,英文字用法指南印刷错了,OCR那个标点符号错了。
that entry can be a bit confusing if it doesn’t indicate that precipitate is being used as an adjective, and not as a verb. especially since the adjectival form is pronounced differently.
Right. This book is published in the 1970s, and dictionaries back then mostly did not pay much of attentions to such details. Though things get worse in Chinese edition, “precipitate actions” is not that confusing in original English version.
‘pay much attention to such details’
btw, I suggest adding some padding around the English words, e.g., ken {margin:0 .1em}
. They are italicized so they sometimes jut into adjacent Chinese characters, such as the ‘j’ in '的joke.
