请教focus on somthing, besides something

  1. besides
    ⑴ prep. in addition to (sb/sth)(注:楼主给出的besides something就是说明besides是介词(prep.)
I play other sports besides basketball.
The coat is too large. Besides, I don’t like the color.

  2. focus (sth) on sb/sth是短语动词(phrasal verb)其释义如下:to give a lot of attention to one particular person, subject, or thing集中,特别关注(介词on后的人或物)。例如:
① Tonight’s programme focuses on the way that homelessness affects the young.
② When the kitchen is finished I’m going to focus my attention on the back yard and get that straightened out.

补充说明:focus on/upon

Focus upon is more formal than focus on, and is used mostly in writing.

不是生硬的比较呢,NIH网站上有一篇日期为2015年的医学类文章,提到了四种药物,focus on a and b, besides c and d.

besides→beside→by the side of(parallelly);focus 焦点,focus on(将焦点)集中于,专注于。

四种药物就是先注重a和b(a和b重要性一样,但大于c和d),然后才是c和d(c和

Specifically, we focus on a and b treament, besides c and d, and discuss their respective advantages and pitfalls.

Specifically, we also focus on a and b treatment, besides c and d, and discuss their respective advantages,这样的话,abcd重要性一样

Here are five things to focus on besides the food this holiday.

  1. 排他的聚焦,当用 focus on a 的时候,暗含 不应该 focus on 其他、其他不重要。
