现在的在线版手册，制作好的还好，稍微马虎些的，多点几次就蒙圈不知跑哪去了，.chm格式都有清楚的层级结构，每次来去的路都熟了。
用精简版的目的是什么？启动更快？用休眠模式也是瞬间启动啊

与其讨论chm这种落后过时的格式，不如讨论mdx这种格式的缺陷以及是否可以搞个新的更好的格式。至于多装个软件，从来不是问题。
众所周知，mdx的修改性、可编辑性、还原性（指恢复原始数据）都很差。
但一种格式是否成功往往取决于其生态位，而非本身的技术优势，即使现在出来一个更好的格式，恐怕都很难取代mdx的地位。
是不是落后过时，如果按照用户数量来说，mdx恐怕是古董了

mdict.cn 的域名快到期了， rayman 会不会忘记续费、
续或者不续，早就无所谓了。
MdxBuilder 4.0 几乎没人用，MDict 有一堆替代软件。
不如epub
个人/商用系统，微软可能留有那什么。但微软不会为了蝇头小利，针对我等普通用户瞎操作。而个人制作者就不一定有节操了。
所谓纯净版不过是一面之词。
pc上chm的体验比较接近字典软件，epub就差别大了

Using chm is superb, which may due to good chm viewers. Once I converted tens of documents to chm (emacs, various lisp books, c++ books etc.), it is great experience to use these chm documents.
Later, I moved on to Linux platform and still kept using CHMs for some time until I found that terminals beat GUIs.
The CHM format is not open, indexes and full-text indexes are bundled in mysterious ways. There is no fundamental reason for better performance than other open dictionary formats.
It deserves to be abandoned.

It is much easier to use terminal than chm viewer. Yes, I am using md format now. I am sharing some xz-compressed markdown dictionaries, which can be easily viewed with less, regex searched with unlimited tools.
