一条关于不定式的语法问题

  1. He is easy to fool
  2. He is easy to be fooled

According to New Perspective Grammar Advanced by Zhang Mansheng, the first sentence is correct and the other is not. I was wondering why the second sentence is wrong.

这个回复的好，言简意赅；张满胜那个年代主要是配合非英专四六级培训，很多都不展开，利于当年新东方的运营嘛，时过境迁，楼主可以换换书啦
