I officially purchased this Oxford WordPower app for $25.09 (I have the receipt), but the developer (Paragon) and OUP have completely stopped supporting it. It’s now useless on modern Android systems.
It’s frustrating to pay for a tool only to have it ‘killed’ by the developer. I’m looking for the heroes of this community to help convert this dictionary into MDX format so we can use it on modern readers like DictTango.
I have the original APK and files ready for anyone willing to help preserve this educational resource. Let’s not let the publishers’ neglect win!

اهلا وسهلا بك اخي العزيز وشكرا على التوضيح. تصور اني اشتريت هذا التطبيق قبل كم سنة بسعر 25 دولار لكن مطور البرنامج وشركة أكسفورد اوقفت تحديثات التطبيق منذ كم سنة والآن التطبيق لا يدعم نسخة أندرويد 16 ولا يمكن تثبيته على الانظمة الحديثة. تواصلت مع المطوّر والشركة وكلاهما يلقي المسؤولية على الآخر.
انا استخدم هذا الملف apk
صغير جدا 5 ميجا
بعد تشغيله يطلب منك تحميل الداتا من داخل التطبيق 260 ميجا تقريبا
وشغال معي حتى على أندرويد 16

شكرا لك مرة أخرى اخي الكريم. قمت بتحميل التطبيق وبعد محاولة تركيبه على الموبايل للأسف نفس المشكلة؛ التطبيق لم يعد متوافق مع Android 16. نحتاج احد الابطال في المنتدى يحول احدى صيغ البرنامج apk او pdf او CD الى صيغة mdx. وانا حملت هذه الملفات هنا:
Thank you again for your help. Unfortunately, the APK still has compatibility issues with Android 16. It seems the only way forward is to have one of the forum experts convert the dictionary data into MDX format.

اقدم لك الشكر والتقدير لجهودك في توفير البديل لكني كنت اعتمد على قاموس Oxford Learner’s Dict.: Arabic في تدريسي وفي ترجمة المفردات وهو مخصص للمتعلمين حيث يقدم ترجمة المفردة بالانجليزي ثم يعطي أمثلة كاملة مع الصور و الملاحظات لبعض المفردات الصعبة و متعددة المعنى. من المخيب للأمل ان أكسفورد تخذل زبائنها رغم انهم يشترون التطبيق بمالغ ليست قليلة. تحياتي لك.

Oxford Learners Advanced Dictionary?
هو أوسع وأشمل فيه كل المزايا في القاموس هذا
فقط ينقصه المعنى العربي
وهذا تستطيع الوصول له بسهوله من الانترنت او اي تطبيق آخر

ومتوفر تطبيق منفصل apk
وانا استخدمه
موجود عندي لكن هو انجليزي انجليزي فقط وهو غير ملائم لمستوى الطلاب والمتعلمين في المراحل المبتدئة و المتوسطة لانه مستوى متقدم.
