The Reinterpretation of A Mantis Catches a Cicada from Han Shi Wai Zhuan
The story is about a praying mantis stalking a cicada without knowing that an oriole was stalking it as well, and the oriole, just like the cicada and mantis, hadn’t any awareness of a boy who, unaware of the a pit before him and a cavern behind him, was aiming at it with a slingshot.
A Thought: We ofttimes see things from our own limited perspective, and by categorising phenomena, we may miss other important details that would, peradventure, engender a portentous impact on our life.
