The Squabble between Two Brothers
An Ancient Tale Retold

In days of yore, there were two brothers descrying a wild goose hovering in the air. Ready to draw their bows, one of them said, “I shall poach it.” The younger brother contended, “better to poach it when it is a perching one, and roast when a soaring one.” Thereupon they came to the elder to settle the issue. The elder proposed that they halve the goose and have one half poached, the other roasted. With the squabble settled, they went to search the hovering goose, only to find that the goose had already faded into the blue.
