学英语需要循序渐进，使用词典亦然，使用esl词典或母语儿童词典后直接使用母语大学词典或足本词典难度较大，进阶词典有其存在必要，本人收集的这类词典都是知名出版社产品，质量还是靠谱的。
1、Thorndike-Barnhart student dictionary（mdict图片版）
Barnhart是world book dictionary（WBD）的主编。我在前贴中发的childcraft dictionary是world book公司出版的初阶词典，这部student dictionary某种程度也可以算是从childcraft过渡到WBD的进阶版版
2、American Heritage Student Dictionary（mdict图片版）
AHD系列词典：first-children-student-highschool（我买过一本纸板，只比大学词典少了不雅的词汇）-college- The American Heritage Dictionary of the English Language
特点：彩印，图文并茂。
3、Merriam-Websters School Dictionary（mdict）
Merriam-Websters Intermediate Dictionary（mdict）
Merriam-Webster系列词典：first-children/elementary- Intermediate- School-collegiate-unabidged（W3）。
特点：权威，更新比较勤快，版本新。
4、Macmillan contemporary dictionary1980（PDF）这本词典据我查证是网上评价较高的MDS(Macmillan dictionary for student1984)的前身，至少90%以上内容相同。
5、Webster new world student dictionary英汉版（PDF）
中国青年出版社曾引进Webster new world系列词典：children英汉版- student英汉版-college英语原版。
特点：较少见的大陆正规翻译出版的英美母语进阶词典。
