Now this really gets me to wonder - how tough it is to be the top leader of the UK. You have to micromanage everything, know everything that’s happening in your government, and that around the country, and perhaps even the world. One slip and you risk running the gauntlet of MPs who demand you be thrown out on your ear. In short, you have to a saint to fill that position.

Whilst in the US, the president seems perfeclty able to get away with murder, him being surrounded by people who jump over themselves kissing his arse, his own words. He can humiliate, denigrate and insult his predecessors and foreign dignitaries, or widely venerated church leaders, let alone his subordinates, or wage senseless wars of global catastrophic consequences all on a whim. Yet nobody seems daring enough to demand his apology, not to mention resignation.

Can the contrast be starker?

Pan.
