Epub reader for japanese

i’ve seen looking into a lot of epub readers, and my honest opinion is that “Atril” seems to be the best, for a few points:

• atril has been in development for 20 years by the Mate project
• it’s solid and it wont break, this is crucial for avid readers
• the interface is clean
• it’s written in a fast language, wont take much resources (memory/cpu)
• and most importantly: supports vertical reading!

I still believe that calibre is the best eBook reader and manager, what do you think of it?

Sigil is an alternative.

i used it, it pulls a lot of dependencies , a very fragile ecosystem
