    More fully zelkova tree. Any of several deciduous trees constituting the genus Zelkova (family Ulmaceae), native to China, Japan, and the Caucasus and frequently cultivated as ornamental and timber trees, having toothed leaves and small green flowers. Cf. keyaki n.
