    In terms designating chemical compounds containing zinc and some other element or radical, as zinco-aluminic, zinco-ammonic, etc. adjs.; zinco-sulphate, etc.

    In various other terms: zincocalcite noun British English /zɪŋkəʊˈkælsaɪt/ Mineralogy (see quot. 18921). zincolysis noun British English /zɪŋˈkɒlɪsɪs/ [after electrolysis n.] decomposition by an electric current (as in a voltaic cell of which the anode consists of zinc), electrolysis. zincolyte noun British English /ˈzɪŋkəʊlaɪt/ a substance thus decomposed, an electrolyte. zincoˈpolar adjective having the polarity of the zinc plate or zincode of a voltaic cell. ˈzincotype noun = zincograph n.
