event有“ a thing that happens, especially something important ”的意思，event of the year 对应“本年度最重要的事件”，似无不妥之处？

看你们点赞我也点吧，剑桥在线也是差不多这个解释的，这其实只是个简明英英释义，就是等于告诉你of the year就是这个年度最佳的意思，没有展开讲清楚为什么。词组本身并无最佳含义，by the end of the year，等等是不是，但其在特定指称性结构之后，语义丰富了，这是为什么呢哈
