# 偶然发现关于纸质版《外研社 英汉多功能词典》（以前叫“建宏”的）的一处笔误

该书983页heat词条下的“词语搭配”里出现 “searching heat” 译为 “热辣辣”，我觉得这是个笔误，因为查找searching发现没有哪个意思对得上的，与searching相近的词里偶然看见searing（见该书1889页）正合”热辣辣“的本意，所以据此我认为该搭配应该改为 “searing heat"，这在电子版”新牛津英汉双解大词典“里可以查到相应的说法：searing词条下有”the searing heat of the sun"（太阳的灼热）。

不知道你的是哪年的版本的，我手中的版本没有这个，也没有这个错误。我这个版本是2002年第14次印刷的

朗文搭配词典也有 searing heat 的用法。

burning/searing/blistering/scorching heat (=extreme heat)

另外这本不是建宏那本。
