我在欧路词典上被单词的是时候欧路词典给了这么一个在线例句： > In Geneva, a historic deal is struck. > 而在日内瓦，一项具有历史意义的协议受到了阻碍。 我查了一下字典，感觉这个义项和这个句子还算比较贴切： > [AmE informal] to not be successful at something > 不成功，失败: > ‘Did she say she’d go out with you?’ ‘No, I struck out.’ > “她说愿意跟你约会吗？”“没有，我碰了钉子。” 但是我并不确认。在Google Translate上的翻译是完全相反的： > 在日内瓦，达成了一项历史性交易。 请大家帮我分析分析这句话到底是表达了啥意思？ ---

根据NOAD：strike a bargain/deal to make an agreement with someone in which both sides have an advantage，可知谷歌翻译是正确的 ---
