二者几乎没差别啊，mw12来源于官方网站，论坛里的mw now也是来源官方网站，用的同样的数据啊，只不过mw12数据要稍微新一点点，但是mw now数据更全。
不是假的，就是用mw 12 Kindle版转过来的，排版都跟Kindle版一样，没有本贴里的排版好：

关于在线版和纸质版的区别，官网有如下说明：

也就是说，在线版（Merriam-Webster.com）在初创阶段，是以韦氏大学词典纸质版第11版作为蓝本构建起来的，随着时间推移，对其中众多词条进行了扩充与修订，不断丰富完善自身的词汇库。官网还郑重其事地特别注明，倘若在线版与纸质版在内容上存在冲突或出入之处，一律以在线版的内容作为权威依据。关于omit to do和omit doing，在线版和纸质12版都改成了omit to do，应该是他们认为这个用法更常见吧， 也证明12版数据挺新的。这种改动蛮好的，新版还有一些其他改动，比如slander 这个词作为名词的第二条义项：
旧版为：
: a false and defamatory oral statement about a person
→compare LIBEL
新版为：
: a false and defamatory oral statement about a person
Note: Do not confuse slander with libel, which refers to written, and especially published, defamation.
旧版有个compare LIBEL的超链接，用户若想探究“slander”与“libel”这两个词之间的差异，需点击该超链接，页面跳转后才能查看“Libel”这个词的解释，随后还得自行在脑海中梳理、总结两个词的不同之处，但是新版更加人性化，直接将slander 和 libel的区别通过Note的方式清楚地写出来了，不用跳转，也不用自己梳理。

在电报群看到有人发了个mdx版，词条数20多万，但义项排序有点错乱，跳转的图表缺失，排版挺简单清爽的，看看有没有大佬在此基础上继续优化：
