Any news?
Ciao

It’s taking more time than I thought, but it’s almost done. I have to learn and follow the rules to identify the root and derivative entries. Not a quick job. Please allow some more time.

Dear,

You are kindly doing a job for a lot of people for free, using your precious time.

I give you all the time you Need and thanks you very much.

My question was only driven by curiosity, not Lust.

Kind regards.
Pierangelo

PS, which dict are you parsing?

Thx 4 ur kind words. I’m doing the The Indonesian English dict.

It’s done. I managed to keep the text format (bold, italic, and bold-italic). Derivatives and combinations are treated the same way. It’s difficult to separate them from each other. I have tried my best and this is the most I could do.

The file “root.txt” contains the root entries. You could proofread it to remove the possible non-root entries if you like. There may exist a few such entries, for the rules the authors give could not ensure to define all the derivatives and other combinations. And it needs more time to master and apply them to the scripts for processing the text. If you check this file and correct it, you could send it back to me to update the mdx file. But remember not to change the sequence of the remained entries. They strictly follow the sequence in the pdf file.

Great!:face_holding_back_tears:

Hi Dear,

The job Is almost done.

I have even the paper version of this dict.

I can confirm you got a lot of words with same layout of the real dictionary, BUt other words are missing.

Try: pegang

Almost there, last effort, only to obain that every word Is displayed by dictango

Regards.

Done for the Swahili-English dictionary. Download link is from the cloud of the forum:

Since it is a duolingua dictionary, English entries and Sawhili entries should be displayed in a different way. For this purpose I added a colon before the Swahili entries (aha! vs. :aha!)

I found some English entries are not separated from the previous entries in the pdf file, like “adjourn” in entry “adjoined”, “affable” in entry “afar”, “disease” in entry “disdain”. To correct them needs some time. I have corrected some of them, but do not have enough time to correct all of them. I need you to do this job, whenever you have the time. You could write down the extra entries that you find and send the list back to me.

By the way, the ina-eng dict is updated again for some single-letter entries like F, V, and Z.

Bahati njema kwako, mpenzi, na kwaheri.

THANKS!
