# （三省堂）新明解国語辞典［第八版］

Interestingly, definitions in Japanese language dictionaries can vary significantly depending on the dictionary.

What kind of Japanese language dictionary goes beyond simply knowing the meaning and usage of words, becoming a starting point to develop and deepen one’s own thoughts? It is a dictionary that thoroughly investigates examples of word usage in everyday language life and provides definitions that result from profound contemplation. In other words, a ‘thinking dictionary’ serves as the premise for a ‘thinking process.’

Since its first edition in 1972 (Showa 47), ‘Shin Meikai Kokugo Jiten’ has been pursuing the ideal form of a dictionary, continuously examining the Japanese language.

As stated in the preface of the fourth edition, ‘Life is supported by language, and our thoughts and introspection deepen through language.’ To adhere to a policy of capturing words more accurately and precisely, we must also respond firmly to the changes in society that evolve with the times.

This revision was carried out exactly with that purpose in mind.

Thank you for your time and effort. I made some font presets for Windows users. You can use it by replacing `@font-face` rules in `smk8.css` to it. The fonts are known as “Japanese supplemental fonts” and can be downloaded in Windows.

A traditional book-like look, with Yu Gothic and Yu Mincho:

大辞林4 三国8都有啊。。。

论坛这个网盘选右上的全部下载看起来是在服务器端当场流处理打包的，所以没有“文件大小”，也无法断点续传，所以下载不稳定的时候选单个文件下载要好点，虽然麻烦点。

哪位好心人整理一下这部词典的词头，本人没有这个能力…mdx里的词头太奇怪了，默认情况下和其他词典也没法通搜。
